Who Is Will Arnett Dating?

Will Arnett‘s new romance has fans looking back at one of Amy Poehler‘s old Saturday Night Live sketches in a way that feels a little too on the nose.

Let’s lay out the scene here: Arnett and Poehler were married from 2003 to 2012 and share two sons, Archie, 17, and Abel, 16. The Smartless podcast co-host is now dating Emma Marciano, an heiress to the Guess clothing brand. There is also a significant age gap — he’s 56, and she’s 28.

In December 2015, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey performed the “Meet Your Second Wife” skit on SNL, and that’s what fans are joking about when it comes to Arnett’s new romance. The iconic sketch portrays a satirical game show where middle-aged men and their current wives are introduced to their future second wives, who are just children at the time. You can see the skit here.

“Well, that Amy Poehler and Tina skit on SNL on ‘Meet Your Next Wife’ and they’re all little girls waiting to grow up is….. well. She knows,” joked one account on X.

“‘Meet your second wife’ SNL sketch………,” chimed another social media user underneath an article talking about Arnett’s 28-year age gap with Marciano.

The Arrested Development star also made a rare comment about his romance on the September 28 episode of the Smartless podcast that he co-hosts with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes.

“I’m very happy, very, very happy. Things are going great,” he said when asked about his love life.

Bateman was curious about Arnett and Marciano’s future status, but the actor seemed unclear as to where they were headed.

“If I f—king knew. I am now 56. I have learned a little bit in the last two years, especially to let go of whatever ideas that I think it’s going to go; it’s going to happen,” he admitted. “As we know, you get dealt so many f—king curveballs, and so I’m in the place now where I’m really trying my best to just deal with what’s in front of me.”

By surrounding himself with “good people” and doing “some work” on himself, Arnett is hoping for a bright future with Marciano.

And even though fans made the SNL connection with that sketch, some people may be surprised to hear that Arnett was married before Poehler. His first marriage was to actress Penelope Ann Miller from 1994 to 1995.
