The fifth season of The Traitors U.S. is focused on everyday people and NBC is airing it instead of Peacock this time around. The sixth-eliminated contestant was sent home in episode five, which aired on October 8, and we have all the spoilers.
After two weeks of back-to-back episodes airing on NBC’s Thursday night lineup, the network aired just one episode on October 8, so only one person was eliminated this week.
The episode began with a roundtable discussion and someone get sent home.
Jay kicked off the roundtable by throwing the suspicion on Katie, who actually is a traitor. He didn’t have any evidence to back up his hunch, which led to some backlash from the rest of the contestants. Sherry was among the people who went after him and the discussion ended up turning on her.
In the end, 11 people voted to send home Sherry, 5 people voted to send home Jay, and 1 person voted to send home Michael. All of the traitors voted for Sherry.
Sherry Kuehl – Leawood, KS – ELIMINATED IN EPISODE 5
So, what happened during the rest of the episode?
The next eliminated contestant is one of three players
The traitors were tasked with doing a murder “in plain sight.” They had to toss a poisoned apple to one of the shortlisted players from the previous challenge, which meant the only eligible players were Niyyah, Abby, Morgan, Mark, Victor, Kriste, and Clyde.
At the end of the episode, host Alan Cumming brought the players to a graveyard on the grounds where there was a tombstone for each of the shortlisted players. He started reading off the names of safe contestants.
The only remaining names are Clyde, Joe, Mark, and Niyyah.
Well, Joe is a traitor, so he isn’t being murdered. The next eliminated contestant will be Clyde, Mark, or Niyyah.
