Chad Lowe’s eldest daughter Mabel, 17, found a quiet and deeply personal way to honor her late sister, Fiona, just days after the 13-year-old’s heartbreaking death on September 29.
On October 2, Mabel reposted a video of her younger sister on her Instagram Story doing one of the things she loved the most: dancing. Kendra Andrews, the younger sister of sports reporter Erin Andrews, posted the original video. She’s a professional dancer and actress in Los Angeles, and she also choreographed for Fiona.
Andrew posted two video clips of Fiona in 2025, learning her solo in a rehearsal studio. The caption described how much the young girl went through after the Pacific Palisades Fire — and how dance got her through a tough time.
“This first video was taken only a month after you lost your home in the fire. You came into the studio like you always did for all the years I’ve known you…excited with a beaming bright smile and a big, warm hug for me,” Andrews wrote in the caption.
She continued, “The next video is our second rehearsal a few weeks later. You had clearly spent so much time outside of the studio working hard to fine-tune and finesse. Your passion and determination were incredibly beautiful to witness.”
The dance teacher recalled the performance she watched “from the wings, heart swelling with pride and my eyes flooding with tears of joy.”
Andrews then shared a personal message to Fiona and the Lowe family: “FiFi, I love you more than words can convey. It was an honor to teach you, laugh with you, and watch you grow. Our hearts are shattered. We will never be the same without you here. I will miss you and love you forever♥️ Chad, Kim, Mabel, and Nixie…I love you, and I’m thinking of you nonstop.”

Mabel’s repost of Andrews’ video was a sweet gesture in remembering her sister. Chad and Rob Lowe‘s father, Charles “Chuck” Lowe, also paid tribute to his granddaughter with a picture of Fiona swimming in a pool that he shared on his Instagram account.
Lowe and his wife Kim Painter gave a statement to People after the loss of their middle child.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the statement read while describing their daughter as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family, and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time. If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988,” the statement concluded.
The teen died by suicide at the hospital on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner records obtained by Page Six.
