Molly Ringwald looked younger than ever as she posed for a backstage photo with Broadway legends Leslie Odom Jr. and Darren Criss on Monday, after appearing at the Celebration of Rodgers and Hart event at Carnegie Hall in NYC.

The 58-year-old was stunning in a black gown with detailing around the neckline and a thin metallic belt cinching in her waist. She left her famous red locks down in glamorous waves and opted for a smoky eye and vampy red lipstick to complete the look.

The actress is passionate about skincare and beauty

The Breakfast Club actress is passionate about beauty and skincare, and told Town & Country that the most important product in her routine was retinol.

“I try lots of different things, but the thing that I use no matter what is retinol,” she explained. “My sister was trained as an aesthetician, and she has always said it’s important, but my skin is very sensitive so it took a while to find one that isn’t irritating.”

As for her makeup, Molly has “always loved” playing around with looks, and sees it as “creative expression” rather than “vanity”.

“I’ve been interested in products from the time I was very young. I’ve just always liked trying new things and experimenting,” she told the publication. “[As a teenager] I really didn’t like my freckles, and I was having teen skin issues. I would take blush and extend it up onto my temples, and my mom would say, ‘Molly is putting pink splotches all over her face!'”

The redheaded beauty’s daughter, Adele, also loves everything makeup and beauty. “Adele kind of takes after me, in that she could do a flawless cat eye when she was six years old,” Molly said.

“Although now that she’s 14 she hardly wears any makeup at all, which is funny. But during the pandemic we really got into watching beauty tutorials together, which was a real bonding thing for us.”

The mom of three enjoys running and doing yoga

As for her health, Molly likes to stay fit by running and doing yoga. She also doesn’t restrict herself from food, but ensures she is consuming as many organic products as possible.

“I’m not as careful as a lot of people in this business. I’m fortunate to have good genes,” she told Parade. “I’m also an active person who knows what I should be eating…I’m a bit of a foodie, but I don’t eat a lot of junk food. I try to eat as healthy and organically as possible and to enjoy what I eat.”
