Tickets sold out for Glastonbury Festival 2027 and fans have already begun speculating who will headline the Worthy Farm event next year.
Last year’s Glastonbury saw headline performances from The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo, with Rod Stewart in the legends slot.
Organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that three headliners have already been booked for the festival, and the rumour mill is in full swing as to who they may be.
One thing we know for sure is it won’t be Oasis, with Eavis previously telling a fan on Instagram that they’ve not got them ‘this time.’
We also know it’s ‘definitely not Madonna’ after Eavis addressed increasing rumours back in August on BBC Radio 4.
But who does everyone think will be hitting the Pyramid Stage this year? These are the top rumoured contenders for a Glasto headline slot…
Who is rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury 2027?
Sam Fender
Seventeen Going Under hitmaker Sam Fender is the favourite to headline Glastonbury at the moment, with odds from BetFred of 2/1.
The Rein Me In singer played the Pyramid Stage in 2022 before headliner Billie Eilish.
Rumour has it that the singer is working on his fourth studio album after People Watching won the Mercury Prize last year.
If this is true, it could be the perfect opportunity for the musician to showcase his new tracks to one of the world’s biggest festival audiences.
Ed Sheeran
Recent controversy surrounding Ed Sheeran hasn’t dulled people’s expectations that the singer-songwriter will appear on the Pyramid Stage next year.
If true, it would mark 10 years since the Shape Of You star last headlined the festival.
He also made his festival debut at Glastonbury back in 2011, playing the Croissant Neuf and BBC Introducing stages, and returned in 2014 to perform an earlier slot on the Pyramid Stage.
Sheeran released his eighth studio album, Play, last year, but he has a twin album, Rewind, that is reportedly close to completion, which could enjoy its live debut at the festival.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s name is brought up consistently when it comes to Glastonbury line-up rumours, and 2027 is no exception.
The Anti-Hero singer was previously supposed to headline the festival in 2020, but the event was cancelled due to covid.
Taylor has never played the festival before, so a Pyramid Stage slot seven years after she was first booked would be an incredible get.
It would follow the release of an expanded deluxe edition of her 2025 album titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore earlier this year, which, again, could feature heavily in a set.
Beyoncé
Another returning headliner for Glastonbury Festival 2027 could be Beyoncé, with odds of 4/1.
The Cowboy Carter songstress last headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2011, becoming the first solo Black woman to do so.
She closed out the Sunday night with a 90-minute set of hits and a Destiny’s Child medley, blowing the crowd away in the process.
Fans are eagerly anticipating updates regarding a rumoured Act III in her multi-part musical project following the release of the B’Day 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition last month.
Could it come hand-in-hand with a Glastonbury headliner announcement?
Chappell Roan
Another newcomer to not only the Pyramid Stage but also to performing at Glastonbury could be Chappell Roan.
The Pink Pony Club hitmaker has headlined Reading and Leeds as well as Pukkelpop, Rock en Seine, Sziget Festival, and many others across the globe.
She has not yet set foot on any stage at Worthy Farm – and there’s no better time than 2027 to make her grand entrance.
Fans will be hoping a potential Glastonbury headline slot for Chappell will come with new music, though she has previously stated that a follow-up to 2023’s The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess won’t be coming any time soon.
