Labour plans to direct mining royalties back to local communities, with a policy its West Coast-Tasman candidate says is a better outcome than a similar proposal by New Zealand First.
Labour’s West Coast-Tasman candidate Rory Paterson told a crowd of Westport locals his party plans to formally announce a plan to raise mineral royalties and direct them back to the specific local communities which house the industry.
